Starting at Oak Hill Escape

Many people will assume that starting a holiday place to escape and stay is straightforward and easy. You find somewhere that's suitable, has good access, views and is secluded, yet accessible. I wish. This has been a very challenging experience and a long drawn out, expensive process. The end result though will be worth it.

After moving here in September 2024, we started to clear the ground as it hadn't been touched for many years. Everywhere was overgrown and the hill pretty much inaccessible, except a hike up a very steep path. Many overgrown branches, brambles and grass were cut back over months.
